Praiwan Rafthouse cannot arrange pick-up/drop-off for individual travelers. Unfortunately, please understand that we are in the middle of a remote forest with no internet or phone access 24/7.
It’s not difficult to find us:
Drive to the boat launch point and go down to Phraiwan. It is Ratchaprapha Dam Pier. (Chiao Lan Dam) You can find the junction on Highway 401 at Ban Ta Khun. From the pier it is a 40-minute boat ride across the lake to reach Phae Phraiwan.
Nearest airport: You can fly from Bangkok. Go to Surat Thani (One hour flight) and the airport is only 100 km away (about an hour’s drive). From Surat Airport, there are minibuses and vans, as well as private taxis, to Ratchaprapa Pier at Thai people know each other. You can reserve in advance online.
One way to do this is with Nok Air’s Fly and Ride – a combined flight and ticket will get you to the pier.
Phuket Airport is slightly more than 180 km away and approximately 2.5 hours’ drive.
There are air-conditioned buses from Surat Phuket and vans as well.
There are direct van services from Krabi (about 2 hours) and Takua Pa (about an hour) as well.
